The Financial Dignity Center in the Office of Financial Empowerment is a viable and sustainable business model provided by a global leader in financial education, Operation HOPE, Inc. The Office of Financial Empowerment was established by the Treasurer’s Office in July 2014, and authorized by the Board of Alderman through Ordinance #69809. The mission of the office is to empower citizens to make better choices with their money through various financial literacy programs.
“We are proud to announce that the Office of Financial Empowerment is a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action, Empowering St. Louis through Financial Literacy,” said Treasurer Tishaura O. Jones. “With the help from our partner Operation HOPE, Inc. and sponsors, we will assist citizens who want to learn how to increase their financial capabilities, raise their credit scores, get out of debt, or start their own business.”
