Plans to provide cyclists a secure place to store their bikes The City of St. Louis Treasurer's Office will conduct a bike rack pilot in conjunction with the Office's new meter technology roll out. Parkmobile is Part of Effort to Modernize City’s Parking Operation The City of St. Louis Treasurer's Office is now offering a smartphone application to pay for parking meters. Parkmobile is currently being rolled out in downtown St. Louis and is expected to be up and running citywide by the end of this year. Parkmobile was chosen to be the mobile payment provider for parking in St. Louis after a six month field test of various parking technologies. Increases to Fund New Parking Meter Technology in City Update 11.17.2014 The Parking Commission approved an increase in parking rates and violations for the City of St. Louis. The new prices are set to take effect July 1, 2015. The increases will help fund new parking meter technology in the City. Parking meter rates will increase to $1.50 an hour in high demand areas and $1.00 an hour in low demand areas. Participants Can Turn Metered Spaces into Temporary Public Places The City of St. Louis Treasurer's Office is looking for participants for 2014 PARK(ing) Day, which is Friday, September 19. PARK(ing) Day is a collaborative effort between the Treasurer's Office and several neighborhood organizations to find alternative uses for parking meters for a day.
